Scientists discovered a number of pupae perch on dinosaur eggs. For what they landed there?
Reported Discovery, scientists discovered a number of dinosaur eggs. In the egg is broken, it alighted on dalamya oval objects similar-sized capsules 1-4 inches. After investigation, it turns out it was a cocoon.
Some pupae are attached to the fossilized eggs of dinosaurs Titanosaurus, aged 70 million years ago. Judging from its size, researchers say it is a cocoon of the bee pupa.
Through observation of the egg, Jorge Genise of Argentine Museum of Natural Sciences, and his partner Laura Sarzetti, concluded that the dinosaur egg is good place to cocoon.
Why a cocoon that landed there?
Researchers write, "Bees may be happy to settle on the eggs is because insects feed from decaying organic material."
