Embassy of Russia to realize the increasing interest of Indonesian students to study the Russian language from year to year. So, was launched Russian language textbooks for Advanced Students of Modern Indonesia. The book was written by Veronika Novoseltseva, First Secretary Embassy of Russia.
"It took three years to compile the new book the first time in Indonesia. With the publication of this book, it is hoped the readers especially the younger generation can further improve their Russian language," said Russian Ambassador to Indonesia, Alexander Ivanov, the Russian Cultural Center in Jakarta , 23 September 2011.
Novoseltseva, who also attended the event, adding his book is intended for Indonesian students who have mastered basic grammar and leksikologi Russia. Book of 500 pages is equipped with color photographs and disc recordings to facilitate the learning process.
This book contains 39 lessons on Russian language and culture that are divided into 12 main themes. "Not only the material and exercises, this book also contains a variety of objective information about Russia and aspects of community life that has not been known. In the backyard is also attachment of Russian poetry has been translated into Indonesian," said Novoseltseva.
He then mentions a test of the first Russian cosmonaut Yuri Gagarin, the history of fighting corruption in Russia in the reign of Czar Peter the Great, as well as scientists Nikholai Mikluho-Maklai who live in the middle of the tribe of Papua for nearly 10 years.
Women who are fairly fluent in Indonesia has even had time to read a Russian poem and its translation in the Indonesian language.
Novoseltseva admitted pemelajar pleased with the growing interest in Russian language and culture in Indonesia. He hopes, in addition to his work can help the pemelajar more about Russia, also that they may enjoy the works of Russian poets such as Leo Tolstoy or Alexander Pushkin in the original.
