Three Months in Saudi, Yemeni President Home

Yemeni President, Ali Abdullah Saleh, today returned to the capital Sanaa. He returned to his homeland after being treated for three months in Saudi Arabia due to rocket attacks in the presidential palace last June.

According to BBC news station, 23 September 2011, President Saleh in Sanaa set foot on Friday morning by private aircraft. No other information presented in connection arrival.



Welcoming his arrival, Yemeni television stations broadcast the news with old impressions of the president who accompanied the national anthem. Yemen Embassy in the United States had confirmed her return of President Saleh.

In Sanaa, the anti-government demonstrators had been due to hold a meeting with pro-government party after Friday prayers. "The return of President Saleh means there will be more differences, escalation and confrontation. Our situation is very critical now," said the rebel leader, Abdel-Hadi al-Azizi.

Widespread clashes in Sanaa during this indeed occurs more frequently between the two groups. Thus, expectations for an armistice in order to be a change of government has vanished.

On Tuesday, September 20, 2011 and in fact the Yemeni government has agreed to a ceasefire after negotiations with the Western envoy. However, a few hours later, the agreement is violated.
