Liga Indonesia Broadcast on Malaysia-Brunei


PT Indonesia Prima League as manager of competition of professional football official in Indonesia, Indonesia Prima League, signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the company's broadcast television content provider in Malaysia, Broadway Media.


The plan, pay TV station in Malaysia that will supply two channels show the game to speak Indonesian, Rainbow and Stars. Thus Indonesia League this season will also be broadcast in Malaysia and Brunei Darussalam.

"Broadway Media has two special channel Indonesia, the Rainbow and Stars. Two channels that contain events of Indonesia and Indonesia-loved people in Malaysia," said PSSI chairman Djohar Arifin Husin in signing the MoU at the Bung Karno, Jakarta, Thursday, September 15 2011.

Cooperation is expected Djohar, can bring added value by increasing relations professional football clubs and leagues and establish the people of Indonesia and Malaysia through football.

"This collaboration is very historic. This is the first professional league Indonesia officially released in the neighboring country," said Djohar.

In line with Djohar, Broadway Media Executive Chairman, Datuk Syed Ahmad Halid also welcomed the deal. Syed Ahmad admitted football Indonesia has attracted the interest of Malaysian society.

Especially last season one of Malaysia's national team star, Safee Mohd Sali, playing in the Liga Indonesia with Pelita Jaya strengthen Falkirk.

"This deal could strengthen the good relations the two countries. With this partnership we hope to one family gathering societies are closely connected and can bring increased performance in sports in Southeast Asia," said Syed Ahmad.

This collaboration gives the right and authority to the Broadway League Media Prima Indonesia broadcast to pay television in Malaysia and Brunei Darussalam.

Prima Liga Indonesia 2011/2012 itself scheduled to begin on 8 October.
