Google, Intel Ready to Launch Android Phone

Microsoft has just launched its Windows operating system 8 that works with the ARM-based microprocessor. As if not to be outdone, Google is working with Intel also announced a collaboration to release Android-based smartphone that uses Intel chips in it.

As quoted from the pages of The Guardian, Android-based smartphone that uses Intel chips is targeted out in the first half of 2012. This cooperation was announced by the Chief Executive Paul Otellini of Intel's annual developer conference content / applications in San Francisco, United States.

Ottelini confidently mentioned that the smartphone market is still in its infancy. "Business is the smartphone is not built to show who will win and who will lose," said Ottelini.

"You've seen how quickly the Android market share from Apple. So a good product, at a great platform, will show a big difference in this industry," he continued.

Google currently dominates about 40 percent of the world smartphone market. While Intel is the biggest partner in the mobile industry. Google's collaboration with Intel will certainly facilitate the mobile phone manufacturers in selling the Android-based smartphone that uses Intel chips.

Currently, smartphone manufacturers still have the option to specify whether the Android-powered smartphone that it manufactures will be compatible with Intel chips. However, in future Android will be optimized to work with Intel chips and technology.

"It's about a Google statement said that Intel will be first class citizens on Android ecosystem," said analysts at Real World Technologies, David Kanter.

But Kanter reminds Intel still must fight to win the hearts of smartphone manufacturers to be successful in the smartphone market.
