Philippines Claim to World Citizens-7 billion

Danica May Camacho was born two minutes before the date of October 31, 2011 at a hospital in Manila, Philippines. By the Philippine government, the baby was ordained as a symbol of the seven billion citizens of the earth.

Danica also receive a gift in the form of a cake of the UN specialized agency which handles the global population project, UNFPA. The agency has estimated that on October 31, 2011 the total population on earth increased to seven billion people.



"She looked very pretty. I do not believe that he was seven billion citizens of the world," said his mother, Camille Camacho, such as the Daily Mail published on Monday, October 31, 2011. Infants weighing 2.5 kilograms appears in the midst of the euphoria of the world welcomed the birth of the youngest inhabitants.

Philippine Health Secretary, Enrique Ona, said it would send the name and time of the birth of Danica at the World Health Organisation to ensure that the baby is actually the world's seven billion citizens, as quoted by Xinhua news agency.

According to the report of UNFPA's global population, the Philippines ranked 12th in the list of the world's most populous state with 94.9 million inhabitants. Number one is still held by China with 1.35 billion people, followed by India with 1.24 billion inhabitants.

Some time ago, UN Secretary General, Ban Ki-moon, in a letter estimating the seven billion citizens of the world will likely be born in countries with the fastest population growth rates, like China or India. Apparently, Danica babies born in the Philippines, which is also one of the countries with the fastest population growth.

In various places in the world, along with the more dense the population, the gap between the groups are also getting bigger. According to the UN, the gap between rich and poor is widening, so the challenges to be faced by citizens of the world in the future will increase.
