"Bomber Knickers" Confessing One

A young man from Nigeria plead guilty on charges of trying to bomb the plane to the United States on December 25, 2009. Although not convicted, the young 24 year-old named Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab was under sentence of life imprisonment.

According to BBC news station, it's guilty plea without a doubt expressed to the judge in court Umar Detroit City, USA, on Wednesday. He plead guilty to all of the eight charges - including terrorism and assassination attempts.



"At the end of 2009, in order to meet religious obligations, I decided to participate in the jihad against the United States," Omar said in a statement to the judge, as quoted by Reuters news agency. "Action that makes me guilty of a crime in the United States," said Umar.

By the mass media in the U.S., Umar was nicknamed "Bomber Knickers." The reason, he hid behind a bomb she was wearing underwear when flying Northwest Airlines airline route Amsterdam (Netherlands) - Detroit. The plane was carrying 300 passengers and crew.

The terror that ultimately failed miserably and Umar himself suffered burns while trying to detonate a bomb. He successfully rounded up the crew and fellow passengers as well as direct dicokok security forces so landed in Detroit.

Omar will hear the verdict from the judge on January 12, 2012. Consider the weight penalty for prosecutors dropped all charges, Omar will probably be in jail for life.

Among U.S. and Yemeni officials linked to the radical cleric Omar Anwar al-Awlaki. They were both reportedly had met in Yemen before the action that failed on the plane Northwest. Awlaki himself last September was killed by a missile from the drone of the U.S. in Yemen.
